Pakistani schools mark Independence Day with pride

MUSCAT: Pakistani schools in Oman celebrated their country’s 70th Independence Day on 14th August with great enthusiasm and joy.


Pakistan School Musannah organised special programmes to rejoice and celebrate the fruits of freedom and progress. Colourful performances by the students and speeches highlighting the importance of the day created an ambience of patriotism.


The principal of the school, Nasir Nawaz, also shared his feelings on this auspicious day. At the end of the event, a cake cutting ceremony was conducted and the programme concluded with the singing of the national anthem.


To mark the day, Pakistan School Seeb arranged a special assembly with a colourful programme.


The chief guest chairman SMC Dr Fayyaz Hussain Umrani along with all the SMC members and respected parents graced the occasion with their presence. The celebrations included patriotic songs sung by students, tribute given to the national heroes and speeches by the students, teachers and guests.


On this auspicious occasion, the KG play area was also inaugurated by the guests, which is an important addition to the list of achievements of the school.
