MUSCAT, SEPT 9 - Oman Technology Fund (OTF), represented in the Accelerator Fund, is organising a weeklong training programme starting today, November 10. The event is targeted at technology companies in Oman and will focus on startup companies which may join the Fund’s Accelerator programme. The training programme aims to assist the participated companies in comprehending the best practices and tools of operating companies, developing the business forms related to the Tech field and recognising the investment tools — especially for the start-up companies. Also, it includes, teaching the methods of negotiation with investors and marketing projects.
Trainers from OTF and “Next Arabian Company” are participating in the training workshops. Two of whom are Ahmed Abdelwahab and Tariq al Said from “Next Arabian Company”, the programme’s strategic partner, along with three other key figures from OTF — Sharifa al Barami, Ismail al Harthi and /Charles Lowdfig. The teams will spend most of their time out of the centre in order to talk to customers, partners, competitors etc. At the end of the programme the teams pitch their startup to selected judges to evaluate potential investment in Accelerator Program.
OTF is a specialist fund that invests in start-up institutions and creative ideas in the tech field, in Oman and the MENA region.
