Muscat, Sept 11 – The Oman Swimming Association’s (OSA) national teams and coaches committee held its third meeting of the year to discuss and review the activities of the national swimming team. The meeting was presided over by OSA chairman Taha Suleiman al Kishry. The committee discussed and presented technical reports on the participation of the national team at the Asian Games in Jakarta and its performance at the 14th Arabian championship in Tunisia. The committee raised a few recommendations and left it to the chairman to take a call.
Also, committee requested during the meeting to take the assistance of some specialists to prepare a new strategy that will help in the development of junior level swimmers. The committee approved participation of Issa al Adawi in next edition of world championship. Members of committee discussed the activities to be done for remaining quarter of current year and approved the national team’s scheduled plan until end of this year. In addition, the committee members presented the main updates of clubs’ swimming activities in different governorates.
