MUSCAT: The Board of Directors of Oman Swimming Association (OSA) has approved the registration of swimmers in the 12 clubs. The OSA held its third meeting for this year at the association’s premises on Tuesday. Chaired by Taha bin Sulaiman al Kishry, OSA Chairman, the board discussed record of the meeting of the Competitions and Referees Committees and approval of its recommendations and record of the meeting of the Technical Committee held last month and approval of its recommendations. The board discussed the latest developments with regard to the recognition and activation of swimming sport in clubs in various governorates and the major executive steps taken so far and approved registration of swimmers in the 12 clubs. The meeting discussed the recommendations forwarded by the Teams and Coaches Committee on Oman national short distance swimming team’s participation in the 18th Asian Games in Indonesia.
