OOC’s planning committee holds first meeting

MUSCAT: The Planning & Follow-up Committee of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) held its first meeting on Tuesday at the OOC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Shaikh Saif bin Hilal al Hosni, Chairman of the Committee and OOC Vice-Chairman, in the presence of the committee members.

Sheikh Saif opened the meeting welcoming the attendants and introducing the new members and commending the efforts made over the past period. A package of topics of priority was discussed during the meeting including review of what was carried out by the committee over the past period and the working plan for the period 2017–2024. An analytical study on the participation of the Sultanate’s national teams in the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games was presented during the meeting.

The committee is now comprised of Shaikh Saif bin Hilal al Hosni (chairman), Mohsin bin Hamad al Masroori (Vice-chairman) with the following as members: Abdallah bin Nasser al Khusaibi, Dr Badria bint Khalfan al Hadabiyah, Rashid bin Ibrahim al Kindi, Khalid bin Al Habib al Hashani, Ahmed bin Abdallah al Habsi, Colonel Hamad bin Saif al Juhoori and Dr Mutasim Ghutooq (member and rapporteur).
