Oman Olympic Committee receives AVF vice-president Hamza

MUSCAT: Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad Al Zubair, Chairman of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), received in his office at OOC premises yesterday Eissa Hamza, Vice-President of Asian Volleyball Federation. The audience was attended by Sheikh Badr Al Rawas, Chairman of Oman Volleyball Association; and Taha bin Sulaiman Al Kishry, OOC Secretary General. Warmly welcoming the guest, Sheikh Khalid Al Zubair commended the efforts being made by the Asia Volleyball Federation in promoting volleyball throughout the Asian continent. The meeting also reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest, foremost of which is the strengthening of existing relations and the mechanisms of cooperation and coordination between the Asia Volleyball Federation and Oman Volleyball Association. It is noteworthy that Eissa Hamza is in Oman to attend the final of the 6th Volleyball Shield Championship 2017 played yesterday between Al Salam Club, last year’s title holder, and Seeb Club at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
