Omar claims Asian Bodybuilding title

MUSCAT, April 28 - Oman bodybuilding national team captured five medals including three gold and two silver at the 52th edition of Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Championship that concluded in Magnolia on Saturday. Omar al Maskari managed to win the overall championship in the 175-metre classic bodybuilding category and he got professional card at the top spot. Sulieman al Riyami grabbed the gold medal in physique for junior category. Sanad al Amri clinched silver medal in the 181-metre category in physique and he was very close to clinching the gold medal. Majid al Subhi claimed silver medal in the 70 kg.


Said al Rahbi, OBC board member, was head of the delegation while Isam Khuda Baksh al Balushi was as administrator. Bader al Amri was coach of Oman national team and Juma al Wahaibi was the assistant technical coach. Seven athletes were part of Oman’s delegation namely Abdullah al Rahbi, Omar al Maskari, Majid al Subhi, Khalid al Shukaili, Sanad al Amri, Sulieman al Riyami and Sultan al Raisi. Oman delegation is set to arrive at the Muscat International Airport on Monday at 10:20 am.
