Omantel has been named the ‘Most Trusted Brand’ in the telecommunications sector in Oman for the second year in a row, according to a survey conducted by Muscat Daily. The awards were organised by Apex Group and the winners were chosen by the readers.
The categories were expanded from 10 to 26 for the 2017 edition and Omantel won in the telecommunications category for the second consecutive year. The awards event was held under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Tareq Shabib al Said and Dr Ali Masoud al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry.

The most trusted brands were chosen based on the public’s vote, which is a reflection of consumer satisfaction. The survey is an opportunity of highlighting which brands are trustworthy in an effort to establish good corporate standards in the Sultanate. The event was attended by the chairmen, managing directors, CEOs and other top officials from the 26 winners.
