Muscat: The 11-year-old Omani girl, Maysoon al Rawahi, who has been one of the celebrity faces of the anti-cancer campaign in Oman, has passed away in Thailand
An Instagram celebrity with over 45,000 followers, she has been at the forefront in the fight against cancer in Oman.
In one of her last posts, she said in Arabic, "I loved the life that God gave me, it was not a perfect life, but I always ignored the sadness in it until it passed, and cling to it as if it would not end ..." ?
Maysoon was able to recover from bone cancer that she suffered in 2016, but three months later saw her battling another type of cancer - lung cancer.
Maysoon has been a multi-talented girl with passion for drawing, acting, and writing stories.
