May 1 - The National Programme to find recruitment for Omani youth in the private sector has managed to recruit 26,103 nationals, including 8,447 females (32 per cent) from December 30 till April 30.
The number of male university graduates was 2,787, while females with same qualification were 1,827.
A total of 9,749 males and 2,775 females had less education than the General Education Diploma (GED) certificates.
The construction sector had the largest share of the recruitment, with 8,471 jobs, followed by the manufacturing sector with 3,536 jobs, mining and quarrying sector with 1,324 jobs.
The Council of Ministers had issued a decision to provide employment opportunities to 25,000 Omanis in the first phase both public and private institutions for six months from December 2017.
