Omani students studying in the US state of Florida, which was struck by Hurricane Irma, are safe, and they will resume studies by Monday, the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) has said. MoHE said on its official Twitter account, “Omani students are expected to return to Florida on Saturday and resume their studies on Monday.”
Dr Talal al Balushi, Oman’s cultural attaché in the US, had urged Omani students to return to Florida to resume their studies.
Even as the hurricane was wreaking havoc in Florida, the Omani students got an opportunity to receive training from academic teachers in Washington, according to Dr Talal.
