In line with the series of exhibitions held as part of Origin Oman Campaign, the Omani Products’ Exhibition opens on Thursday at the Municipality Recreation Centre in Itin under the auspices of His Excellency Shaikh Abdullah bin Aqeel al Ibrahim, acting deputy governor of Dhofar.

Organised by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), the exhibition comes in line with events held at Salalah Tourism Festival 2017. Omar bin Mohamed Muqaibal, (Pictured) Director- General of Marketing and Media at PEIE, informed that more than 40 local firms will take part in this event to promote the locally manufactured products and introduce them to the citizens, residents and visitors to the festival.

He added that PEIE aspires through organising Omani Products’ Exhibitions to disseminate awareness on distinguished and high quality national products and their ability to compete locally and abroad simultaneously. The Origin Oman Campaign is a national initiative designed to encourage consumers and organisations to buy Oman made goods and services, promote national pride in the manufacturing industry and highlight the economic importance of choosing and buying locally manufactured products and services.

“This year, the Omani Products’ Expo is back again at the Municipality Recreation Centre. In fact, we aim at being present in various platforms to reach out to various segments of the society. During the past four years, the exhibition was held at Lulu Hypermarket in Salalah as a kind of constant cooperation between PEIE and the commercial centres and hypermarkets within the Sultanate. These efforts are undertaken to contribute to the development of the industrial sector and thus contribute to the advancement of the national economy,” he pointed out.

The Omani Products’ Exhibition at Salalah Tourism Festival will continue till August 30.
