SALALAH: In line with the series of exhibitions held as part of Origin Oman Campaign, the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE) is organising Omani Products’ Exhibition at the Municipality Recreation Centre in Ittin, Salalah.

The exhibition, which was inaugurated under the auspices of Shaikh Abdullah bin Aqeel al Ibrahim, acting Deputy Governor of Dhofar, comes in line with events held at Salalah Tourism Festival 2017.

While inaugurating the event, Shaikh al Ibrahim noted that the Omani products are promising as they contribute significantly in supplying the local markets. “Many of the participating companies in the exhibition export their products to foreign markets. This ultimately plays a significant role in strengthening the national economy,” he pointed out.

Participants at the exhibition stressed that such exhibitions offer a great opportunity to introduce their high quality products, which are remarkably competing in local and overseas markets. PEIE aspires through organising Omani Products’ Exhibitions to raise awareness on the locally manufactured products and services and their ability to compete locally and abroad simultaneously.

The Origin Oman Campaign is a national initiative designed to encourage consumers and organisations to buy Oman made goods and services, promote national pride in the manufacturing industry and highlight the economic importance of choosing and buying locally manufactured products and services. The Omani Products’ Exhibition at Salalah Tourism Festival will continue till 30th August. — ONA
