Omani-Brunei joint energy committee meets

MUSCAT: The Omani- Brunei Joint Energy Committee will hold its second meeting today, at Grand Hyatt Muscat Hotel under the theme “Enhancing Industrial Cooperation to Achieve Economic Growth and Development”. The three-day meeting will begin with a welcoming speech by Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhy, Minister of Oil and Gas, Head of the Omani side in the Omani-Brunei Joint Energy Committee, following by an opening speech to be delivered by Minister of Energy and Industry in Brunei Prime Minister’s Office. The first and third days of the meeting will include several work papers, where Dr Anwar bin Suliman al Kharousi, Adviser of the Minister of Oil and Gas for Investment Affairs, will patronize over a workshop on trade and partnership opportunities between the Omani and Bruneian sides. The second day of the meeting will include a field visit for the Bruneian side to Sohar Industrial Port. — ONA
