MUSCAT: The 2nd round of the political consultations was held between the Sultanate and Turkmenistan at the Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
The Sultanate’s side was chaired by Dr Mohammed bin Awadh al Hassan, acting Under Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Turkmen side was led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The meeting discussed aspects of the existing bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries and means of promoting them in various fields of concern to both countries. They also exchanged viewpoints on several regional and international issues of common concern.
The session of consultations was attended from the Omani side by Ahmed bin Khamis al Jamri, Head of Central Asia Department, and Yousef bin Ahmed al Jabri, Head of Political Affairs Office, while it was attended from the Turkmen side by Head of Middle East and Africa Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. — ONA
