SALALAH: Oman from the Sky Exhibition will open in the Governorate of Dhofar on Wednesday under the auspices of Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan bin Hamoud al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar.

The exhibition comes as part of activities of Salalah Tourism Festival, which is prepared, photographed and directed by Shaikh Ahmed bin Suwaidan al Balushi as a national contribution to meet the passion of recognising the comprehensive development process and the Sultanate’s aesthetic features that reflect the pristine nature and the country’s treasures.

Shaikh al Balushi affirmed that the exhibition is the fruit of a continuous effort that conveys the cultural image of the Sultanate from the beginning till now. He added that the exhibition highlights the long journey recorded by lenses of the camera that toured various governorates of the Sultanate.

Shaikh al Balushi said: “Every location in the Sultanate enjoys special imprint-like features, and each imprint reflects the unique aesthetics of the site being filmed.”

The exhibition is the first art platform to display a distinctive collection of images that capture features of the Renaissance and the Omani landscape from the sky. — ONA
