MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, on Thursday received Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Envoy of the Russian President to the Middle East and Deputy Foreign Minister, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the Russian guest conveyed greetings and best wishes of Russian President Vladimir Putin to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos.
The meeting comprehensively reviewed the existing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of supporting aspects of cooperation between them in various spheres, in addition to activating the joint agreements between the two sides.
The meeting also reviewed the developments and efforts exerted for the convergence of views on all current issues in a bid to support the security and stability at the regional and international arenas.
The Russian guest stressed the importance of this visit to exchange visions and consultations to cement cooperation between the two countries. He also stressed his country’s appreciation over the balanced policy pursued by the Sultanate in its relations with other countries.
HH Sayyid Fahd asked the Russian envoy to convey greetings and best wishes of His Majesty the Sultan to President Putin.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al Busaidi, Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry, and Envarbik Fazelianov, Russian Ambassador to the Sultanate. — ONA
