Oman Oil Company (OOC), the government’s investment arm in the energy related sectors, in cooperation with 13 of its subsidiaries and affiliates, is participating in the Career & Training Opportunities Fair, taking place in Sultan Qaboos University (SQU). The event was inaugurated under the auspices of Mohsen bin Mohammed al Shaikh, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, attended by Dr Ali Saud al Bemani, Vice-Chancellor of SQU, and other officials.
The three-day fair, organised by the Center of Career Guidance at SQU, aims at providing jobs and training opportunities to university students, enhance their abilities and prepare them for the labour market. OOC Group always takes part in events of national importance such as SQU Career Fair to maintain and promote prosperous future for Omani job seekers.
Commenting on the participation, Saleh Abdullah al Musalhi, Director of Human Capital, ICT and Supply Chain at OOC, said, “Oman Oil Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates are committed to contribute to national development objectives by identifying and creating opportunities for local talent. The Group supportive initiatives and programmes intend to thrive the Omani youth and leverage young people to enter diverse work fields. Also, OOC continues to provide employment and training opportunities in different disciplines across the Group.”
Within its unique participation, OOC presents to students and graduates the Group’s value chain in the Oil & Gas industry in addition to promoting its significant role to invest and develop local resources along with the subsidiaries and affiliates.
