MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represented by the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP), will observe along with other GCC countries the Gulf Consumer Week, starting today. ‘Towards Safe e-Shopping for the Consumer’ is the theme this year. Dr Said bin Khamis al Kaabi, Chairman of PACP, said that this revised version of the Gulf Consumer Week is aimed at building bridges of mutual cooperation and standardising efforts in the Gulf for consumer protection. Events this year includes those organised by PACP in various governorates of the Sultanate, including an open day at the Wave Project, Muscat. PACP will organise a mini exhibition of the seized and counterfeit goods in order to create public awareness about them, besides PACP applications. — ONA
