Muscat: Oman Environment Services Holding Company (Bee'ah) has announced that it will apply restrictions on the export of some types of waste from September 2.
This will be done in cooperation coordination with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs (MECA), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) and other concerned authorities .
Bee'ah said in a statement that it will require the dealers to obtain a letter of No Objection from the company to carry out the export activity of these wastes and to submit an export request through the Bayan online platform.
The list of items that will be restricted to export are:
• Used lead acid batteries
• Lead moulds
• Used tyres
• All types of used oils- industrial, car lubricants.
• Used Cooking oil
• Electronic and electrical waste
• Scrap aluminum cans
• Scrap metals
• All types of plastic waste
• All types of paper waste
• Cardboard
