MUSCAT: The OS/OCA Regional Forum for South and West Asian National Olympic Committees will open on April 1 at 9 am in Muscat. Lasting for two days, the forum will be organised by the Olympic Solidarity (OS) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and hosted by the Sultanate represented by Oman Olympic Committee. Represented in this forum are 20 National Olympic Committees of South and West Asian Countries as well as representatives of the Asian and European Organising Committees of Games scheduled to be staged over the next period.
The forum will witness a number of presentations on the Olympic Solidarity’s programmes and OCA’s activities and events and associated procedures that NOCs can follow to benefit from the financial and technical support that is accorded by the Olympic Solidarity. The agenda of the forum also include presentations on online platform of Olympic Solidarity, athletes programmes, subsidies provided for participation in the Olympic Games, financial management and governance as well as the guidelines and policies of writing financial reports and controlling the use of OS funds.
