Oman for communication among Arab judicial bodies

Nouakchott: The Sultanate, represented by the Administrative Council of Judiciary, took part in the 8th conference for heads of the supreme and cassation courts, held at Nouakchott, capital of Mauritania, on October 23-24.


The Sultanate’s delegation, is led by Shaikh Dr Ishaq bin Ahmed al Busaidi, Chairman of the Supreme Court, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Judiciary and Head of the Administrative Affairs Council for Judiciary and includes Shaikh Dr Abdullah bin Rashid al Siyabi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court, Dr Khalifa bin Mohammed al Hadhrami, Chairman of the Supreme Court, Judge Mahmoud bin Khalifa al Rashdi, Judge at the Supreme Court,


and officials at the Council.


The conference covered the major issues before the Arab Courts.


More than 13 delegations from Arab countries are taking part in the


conference.


Shaikh Dr Ishaq bin Ahmed al Busaidi in his speech stressed the importance of communication among Arab judiciary institutions as this well serve the interests of judiciary.


The Sultanate is keen on taking part in such conferences as they enhance coordination and cooperation among Arab judiciary institutions and provide a platform for reviewing legal and judiciary researches and organising specialised seminars and workshops. — ONA
