Oman Drydock Company (ODC) has received the status of Certified Economic Operator in the field of import and export from the General Directorate of Customs during its celebration of the World Customs Day under the patronage of Major General Sulaiman bin Mohammed al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Administrative and Financial Affairs.

Haitham al Taie, Acting CEO, indicated that the company is committed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency in the logistic services sector. “Obtaining the Certified Economic Operator certificate will enhance the company’s services and is a clear indication of its unwavering desire to grow and develop. This strengthens the confidence of ship owners and ship management companies in ODC and makes a real contribution to the conclusion of the largest number of commercial transactions,” added Al Taie.

Yasser al Wihaibi, Customs Clearance Specialist in Oman Drydock Company, explained that this certificate grants the company a number of facilities, including finding quick solutions in sending shipments to the free zone or at the company’s site and pre-clearing of goods. It also provides many benefits, notably reducing the number of customs inspections, priority at customs checkpoints and the possibility of making simplified permits in the system in advance.
