Oman at child protection regional meet in Kuwait

MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Interior, will participate today in the Kuwait’s first regional conference for the protection of children from the dangers of social media. The Sultanate’s delegation to the conference will be led by Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Minister of Interior.
The conference aims to address the protection of children from exploitation through these sites and disseminating awareness of the hazards of social media.
Several working papers will be presented at the conference, which emphasise the need to protect children and to instil good values in them.
Shaikh Muhanna bin Saif al Lamki, Governor of North Al Batinah and a number of officials at the Ministry of Interior and the Royal Oman Police will accompany the Interior Minister. — ONA
