Oman beach volleyball team gearing up for new season

MUSCAT, May 19 – Oman beach volleyball team, are currently busy with an internal training camp in preparation to take part at the Asian Games in Indonesia in August this year, Star2 international tournaments in Singapore in June and at the 27th Arabian beach volleyball championship. The runner up of the Arabian beach volleyball team has its preparation plans for the different championships and tournaments already chalked out. The volleyball team coached by national coach Khalifa al Jabri is concentrating in Ramadhan camps at the fitness beside to working on improving technical skills and applying some tactics. The team will participate prior to end of the holy month of Ramadhan in a friendly GCC Championship.

After Eid a-l Fitr break, Oman beach volleyball stars will travel to Spain for external camp. The Spain tour will give the Oman team players with whole new experience and a wonderful exposure prior to participating at 27th Arabian beach volleyball championship and another international round ranked under two stars in Aghadeer city in Morocco. Haitham al Shuraiq, Ahmed al Hosni, Mazin al Hashmi and Houd al Jalboubi will represent Oman’s beach volleyball team in all the above mentioned championships and at the Asian Games in Jakarta. Oman national beach volleyball teams (A & B) were positioned as second in the last two editions of the Arabian beach volleyball meets. Also, Oman team finished in the fourth place when they hosted the Star1 beach volleyball championship.
