Oman at Bahrain international defence exhibition and conference

MANAMA: Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, on Monday took part in the opening ceremony of Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC 2017), as per an invitation from the Minister of State for Defence Affairs in Bahrain.
The three-day exhibition is being held at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Sayyid Badr was accompanied by Abdullah bin Rashid al Medailwi, Sultanate’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain and senior officers at the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF).
Sayyid Badr and his military accompanying delegation viewed a side of the military shows associating with the exhibition.
They also toured various pavilions and sections of the exhibition during which they viewed the latest equipment and military devices of the international defence companies.
On the sidelines of the visit, Brigadier Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guards in the Kingdom of Bahrain received Sayyid Badr.
Sayyid Badr also met with Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad al Khalifa, General Commander of Bahrain Defence Force. The two meetings reviewed the fraternal existing good relations between the two brotherly countries.
Earlier, Sayyid Badr and his accompanying delegation were seen-off at Al Seeb Air Base by Maj Gen Matar bin Salim al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), Charge d affaires of the Bahrain in Embassy in the Sultanate and senior SAF officers. The delegation accompanying Sayyid Badr comprises senior officers at the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF). — ONA
