Oman 7th Arabian Horse Show concludes

MUSCAT, Jan 13 - As many as 56 horses participated at Oman 7th Arabian Horse Show which was organised by Royal Cavalry and supervised by ECAHO recently in Al Rahba Equestrian Arena in Wilayat of Barka.
Horse “Najya Adeyat” for Royal Cavalry won the title of class 2 fillies category (2-3 years) while “Lathif” claimed award of senior stallion’s championship category. Alexendra R C for Royal Cavalry grabbed the title of category of class 4 fillies category (4-5 years) while “S.Q Moaz” for Mahmood al Naabi bagged the award of class 4 fillies category (6-8 years). “Mufrih” for Royal Cavalry won the title of geldings championship.
The two-day event recorded tough competition in all categories and championship titles. The final day showed recorded series of equestrian displays. Ponies took ride by children. Also, horse riders showed their high technical skills.
Shaikh Saad bin Mohammed al Saadi, Minister of Sports Affairs, was the chief guest in presence of Nasr bin Hamoud al Kindi, Secretary-General of the Royal Court Affairs and top dignitaries. He delivered the awards to top winners. Chief guest and invitees took a visit round in the exhibition which is organised as part of the event where some government entities participated including Royal Cavalry, Sultan Qaboos University, Ministry of Tourism and the Public Authority for Craft Industries in addition to a number of individuals where they showed their items of horse, equestrians and heritage.
A group of show horses from Royal Cavalry, Sultan Qaboos University, German University in addition to a number of horse stables in Oman took part in this edition of show.
The judges committee consisted of a crew approved by ECAHO as follows: Richard Pihistrom from France, Martine Alphonsine from Belgium, Bruce Willian from USA, Jonas Salzmann from Netherlands and Sulaiman al Hattali from Oman.
