Oil agreement with Pakistan signed

Islamabad: The Sultanate’s government, represented by the Ministry of Oil and Gas and the Government of the Republic of Pakistan, represented by the Ministry of Energy (Oil Sector), signed a cooperation agreement in the field of oil. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Sultanate’s government in Islamabad on Monday by Shaikh Mohammed bin Omar al Marhoon, Sultanate’s Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, while it was signed from the Pakistani side by Mohammed Jalal Sakandar Sultan, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy. In a statement to reporters, Shaikh al Marhoon highlighted the importance of the deal as it will open the Pakistani market before the Omani oil and LNG products. Oman International Trading Company, Pakistan State Oil Company and LPG Company will market these products in the two countries. — ONA
