MUSCAT, MAY 23 -

OHI Leo Burnett’s work in branding was recognised at the prestigious 4th edition of Transform MENA 2017 Awards for Branding held in Dubai on May 17, 2017. The agency bagged a record of 6 awards, including 2 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze and 2 highly commended awards for its work with brands in Oman, from across industry segments and in various disciplines. OHI Leo Burnett’s excellence in rebranding and brand development was recognised in a room brimming with industry specialists including leading regional and global players.

Established in 2009 in Europe, the Transform Awards has evolved into a celebration of the indispensable talent that exists within the branding sphere. Covering Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, North America and Europe, the Transform brand itself is truly global, with no other outlet as committed to providing such comprehensive coverage of the brand environment.

OHI Leo Burnett won a highly commended award for its work on Meethaq in “Best visual identity in the financial services sector” and for Maharat (Oman Gas Company) in the “Best visual identity in the energy and extractives sector”. The agency struck a silver with the “Best Naming Strategy” for D2C (Duqm Data Center) and another bronze for the same brand in “Best visual identity in the technology, media and telecommunications sector”.

The high point of the awards was when OHI Leo Burnett bagged two gold trophies for Kunooz Oman for “Best band consolidation” and “Best visual identity in the industrial and basic minerals sector”.

Ammar al Saleh, Vice Chairman, OHI Group said, “Congratulations and best wishes to our clients and to our team on this incredible achievement. OHI Leo Burnett has been at the forefront in Branding in Oman, and these awards validate both the talent and skills available in Oman, and also the confidence that our clients have placed on us and doing business within Oman when it comes to Branding. Coming at a time when ICV is critical for all industries in Oman, we hope this will raise the level of confidence in the industry as a whole, and prompt many organisations in both public and private sector, that go out looking for regional partners, to start working within Oman for their branding solutions”.
