OFA discusses national team’s schedule

MUSCAT: The Oman Football Association (OFA) Board of Directors in a recent meeting discussed the schedule for the national team in 2017 — including camps, qualifiers, friendlies and the overall calendar.
Four people were added to National Teams Committee, currently under stewardship of second Vice-Chairman Jassim al Shukeili.
They also discussed the current assistant coaches and structure of coaching of all national teams.
There was discussion around the role of medical staff of the national team. Two people were added to the Medical Committee of the OFA.
Following the decision to participate, the Board received a letter from the Bahrain FA inviting the Oman women’s team to take part in their first international tournament, the Women’s Gulf Cup.
The Board reviewed the performance and growth model for referees. Referee Fahad al Subhi was declared the referee assessor for new referees.
