MUSCAT: The Oman Development Bank (ODB) will provide loans of up RO 5,000 for agricultural and livestock projects besides other loans with 3 per cent annual interest and zero-interest loans for small farmers. This was revealed during a workshop organised by ODB and the directorate-general of agriculture and fisheries in the governorates of North and South Al Batinah. Speaking at the workshop, Munir bin Salim al Hinai, Director of Operations at ODB, said the bank provides seasonal loans and operating loans for farmers besides other facilitations. The bank also provides subsidised development loans to the agricultural sector for the setting up of new farms and greenhouses and irrigation networks with a loan ceiling of up to RO 50,000.
