OCCI holds ‘dialogue’ for tourism companies

MUSCAT: The Tourism Committee of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) organized on Monday the “Tourism Companies Dialogue Roundtable” aimed at finding a mechanism of coordination and cooperation between large companies and small and medium-sized companies, the development of plans and solutions to help develop the tourism sector and consider how to exploit the human cadres of graduates of the tourism sector.


Said bin Saleh al Kiyoumi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OCCI, sponsored the event at the Chamber’s headquarters and explained that the public and private sectors must intensify efforts to develop the tourism sector as a promising sector. He pointed out that the private sector focuses on this aspect in its investments and the government to overcome the consequences and difficulties that may face businessmen in investing in this sector.


He called for taking advantage of the opportunities at the International Expo 2020 in Dubai to promote the tourist and historical potentials that the Sultanate is famous for in order to attract the largest number of visitors to the Emirate of Dubai during the exhibition. — ONA
