OBC to provide fiber-optic network for Zein real estate

MUSCAT: Oman Broadband Company (OBC) signed an agreement with ZEIN Real Estate Development to provide a high-speed fiber-optic network in the construction sites executed and being executed by ZEIN Real Estate Development.


The agreement was signed by Said bin Abdullah al Manthri, CEO of OBC and Mish’al bin Mohammed al Ra’eesi, Executive Director of ZEIN Real Estate Development.


Under the terms of the agreement, Oman Broadband Company will provide the infrastructure of a high-speed fiber-optic network at the construction sites of ZEIN Real Estate Development Company Sur Al Hadeed, Al Hail, Al Athaiba, Ghala Heights, Al Muna and Ruwi.


Al Manthri, CEO of OBC, said that the agreement comes within the company’s plan to develop the industrial, commercial and real estate areas by providing infrastructure capable of operating smart cities with very high specifications.


In a statement to ONA, he said that the company sought within its plan to make partnerships in this aspect so that developers will ensure the existence of high-speed networks and provide fiber-optic network with high specifications in these areas to be ready smart cities for all future applications.


On his turn, Mish’al bin Mohammed al Ra’eesi, Executive Director of ZEIN Real Estate Development, said: “Our goal is to provide customers with the best service available in the current market by providing high-speed fiber-optic network, which is the best service needed by customers.


He said that the company is striving to provide high-speed Internet access in all the projects implemented by ZEIN Real Estate Development Company, as the investment in these projects worth RO 20 million.


He said in a statement to ONA that the Dar Al Zain project, located in the area of Sur Al Hadeed in the Wilayat of Al Seeb is the largest project of the company as it consists of 300 villas. The project will be provided by the high-speed fiber-optic network after six weeks from now.


He affirmed that the company is striving to contribute with the government in providing employment opportunities for Omani youth, pointing out that there are a number of opportunities that will be provided in the field of sales after the completion of projects. —ONA
