The Oman American Business Centre (OABC) has appointed Rebecca Olson (pictured) as its new Executive Director. A recognised marketing and public relations veteran, the Upstate New York native brings more than 10 years of experience working for non-profit and for-profit organisations around the world. In her new role, Rebecca will oversee the administration and execution of the centre’s strategic plan and provide its members with greater benefits and networking opportunities to foster commercial and economic development between the United States and the Sultanate.

“It’s a great time to join the team,” Rebecca explained. “The OABC is rolling out new member benefits this year: Advertising to a targeted list of Oman’s most active businesspeople, a completely renovated website with relevant resources for companies doing business in Oman and the USA, and exclusive event sponsorship opportunities for members.”

Rebecca’s extensive background includes establishing her own digital content firm specialising in editing and creating online material, information architecture, and marketing plans for a diverse portfolio of clientele in Oman. She has also previously been a member of the OABC, providing her with firsthand insight into the needs of its members and how best to exceed their expectations.

Fouad Eid, Vice President of the OABC, said, “The OABC takes pride in delivering nothing but the best to our members and with her vast experience, we knew Rebecca would be a perfect fit. I would like to formally welcome her to the team and look forward to introducing a variety of new benefits to our members in the coming months.”
