MUSCAT: The Sultan Qaboos University’s (SQU) board of directors has approved the establishment of two research centres for nano technology and sustainable energy. The objective is to support scientific research at the university. The nano technology centre will be of strategic importance to the country because it is expected to achieve excellence in academic, industrial and economic domains as well as in the field of social responsibility. It will work to enhance the Sultanate’s rank in nano technology around the world.
