MUSCAT: Shaikh Saif bin Mohammed al Shabibi, Minister of Housing, has issued a ministerial decision amending some provisions of the executive regulations for ownership of flats and shops.
The decision says the landlord association should appoint a manager as a legal representative for handling legal disputes.
The new regulations say the landlord association or the minister may determine the wages and tenure of the manager. The landlord association or the minister can also dismiss the manager if need be.
The decision provides for calculating share of a single unit of land plot depending on the number of floors and units. The decision explains ways of registering or renewing registration of landlord association of any property subject to the ownership system.
