Nepalese PM visits Jibreen Castle and Nizwa Souq

BAHLA: Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, on Wednesday visited Jibreen Castle in the Wilayat of Buhla in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, within the framework of his current official visit to the Sultanate. He toured all sections of the castle and familiarised himself with the history and the unique architectural engineering of the castle.


The Nepalese Prime Minister was accompanied during the visit by Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications (Head of the Mission of Honour accompanying the Prime Minister of Nepal).


Sher Bahadur Deuba also visited the Wilayat of Nizwa in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, within the framework of his current official visit to the Sultanate.


He was received upon his arrival by Shaikh Dr Khalifa bin Hamad al Saadi, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah and Shaikh Hamad bin Salim al Aghbri, Wali of Nizwa. During the visit, the Nepalese Prime Minister toured Nizwa Castle and its historic souq.


The guest was briefed on the ancient castle during which he viewed the historic landmarks of Nizwa Castle, its traditional facilities and markets, besides touring the Omani traditional crafts exhibition and various Omani foods show. — ONA
