MUSCAT: The Embassy of Nepal, Muscat, is taking part at the Muscat Festival at Amerat Park for the first time by setting up a stall.
Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Sultanate, inaugurated the stall by lighting the traditional oil lamp.
The Nepali stall has various Nepali handicrafts such as unique wooden peacock windows, brass and bronze utensils, Nepali Khukuri, dhaka topi and purses, Nepali tea, Pashmina, musical instruments like damphu, madal, sarangi along with fascinating photo-frames of Mount Everest, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre and other cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur.
Two Nepali cultural and folk dances were performed by the Nepali community on the first day which mesmerised the visitors.
