To promote a culture of sustainable work among Omani youth and to encourage volunteering teams, sports clubs and associations, Nama Group, in cooperation with the National Youth Commission (NYC), will organise the closing ceremony to announce five winners of the third edition of “Wiyakum” 2017.
The event is taking place tomorrow, October 26, under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Malak bin Shihab al Said as part of the activities of the Omani Youth Day in Sultan Qaboos Sport and Cultural Centre — Salalah in the presence of key officials from government and private sectors.
For the third consecutive year, Nama Group presents “Wiyakum” that aims to promote a volunteering culture in the Sultanate through the participants who will become role models and change agents in their local communities through supporting various development initiatives that can create a sustainable impact.
This competition mainly targets the youth and encourage their involvement in identifying local issues and create a ripple effect through their effective development of volunteering groups.
