Mwasalat unveils integrated bus service system

Muscat: Mawasalat has inaugurated the integrated bus maintenance and service station in Azaiba on Sunday morning in the presence of Eng Salem bin Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.




The inauguration of the station follows the company's efforts to develop public transport services according to international standards. On quality of service provided to customers.




The station will serve the public transport buses of the company, which number more than 400 buses of different sizes and uses. The station consists of a workshop equipped with the latest equipment and modern techniques for maintenance, repair and inspection of buses of all types and sizes and parking for 145 buses at one time.




The station is also equipped with specially-designed bus washing with a water recycling system and a special fuel filling station, user identification system, rapid fuel pumping system, bus paint areas and a high capacity storage warehouse for storing spare parts and tools.




The new station will provide career opportunities for Omani cadres with more than 200 direct and indirect jobs in management, MEP, IT, control systems and bus traffic.
