Mwasalat, Oman Dry Dock sign MoU

MUSCAT: The Oman National Transport Company(Mwasalat) and Oman Dry Dock (ODD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at transporting of all ODD staff, employees and sub-contractors on board of Mwasalat buses. Under the memorandum, Mwasalat will be the official carrier of all ODD employees. Mwasalat will carry ODD employees from Muscat to its headquarters in Al Duqm on Muscat-Al Duqm route launched by Mwasalat at a rate of one journey per day in each direction.


The two companies will work in the coming period and through periodic meetings to coordinate their work and joint efforts to study and discuss the best mechanisms of the application of the special terms of the agreement in order to ensure the achievement of all the desired benefits for the two sides. The Special Economic Zone in Duqm (SEZAD) in the Governorate of Al Wusta is currently witnessing a remarkable development in the economic, commercial and tourist fields through the efforts undertaken by the Government of the Sultanate in the development of the Wilayat of Al Duqm in all sectors and this opportunity will help facilitate public transport operations to the region. — ONA
