Mwasalat has reported that that ferried more than 24,000 passengers on the first day of Eid in its Muscat city services. It may be be noted that Mwasalat had extended its services till 12am (mid-night) starting from the first day of Ramadhan till the end of Eid al Fitr holidays, encouraging more people to use public transport.
Mwasalat has announced that it will be offering special offers and promotions during Salalah Tourism Festival 2017, and will increase its Trips to Salalah from 3 to 4 Trips throughout the festival that will commence on June 30 to August 31, offering 180 seats per trip daily.
As for special offers during the festival period, there will be a special discount for group bookings. When purchasing four tickets, the customer will receive one free ticket. Tickets will be free for children under the age of two.
Mwasalat will use the largest number of its crew during the festival period, that will include free Wi-Fi in the buses along the routes from Muscat to Salalah at different times roundtrips, where the first trip will depart at 7 am and the last at 8 pm.
