Muscat sixth among best-expat paid cities

GENEVA: Muscat ranked sixth in the world’s best-expat paid cities index for 2018, issued by HSBC and published by Business Insider. Muscat ranked 24th in the world, with an average income of $113,733 per year. The Indian city of Mumbai topped the index with an average income of $217,165 per year, followed by San Francisco, with an annual revenue of $207,227 followed by Zurich, Switzerland, at an annual rate of $206,875. Around 25,000 people participated in the survey around the world. The survey found that 30 cities provide income to the expatriate with an average of $99,903 a year or more.
