Muscat Municipality sets working hours for Al Mawaleh Central Market in Ramadan

Al Seeb: Muscat Municipality, represented by the administration of the Central Market of Vegetables and Fruits in Al Mawaleh, has set working hours in the market during the holy month of Ramadhan as follows: Saturday to Thursday from 6am to 2pm.

Othman bin Ali al Hatali, Director of the Market Administration said ,”The market administration decided that the main shade and the large wholesale stores of vegetables and fruits will open in Ramadan from Saturday to Thursday from 6am to 2pm. A number of large stores will remain open till 5pm.”

He added that other shades for retail local and imported products, which include approximately (400) small shops, will open from 4am, and some will continue until 8pm or 9pm.

It is worth noting that Muscat Municipality will be responsible for daily monitoring and inspection of vegetables and fruits in the market from a health point of view to ensure their suitability for human consumption, as well as regulating the entry and exit of vehicles from the market. The Public Authority for Consumer Protection will monitor the prices of commodities displayed in the market. –ONA
