Muscat Football Academy (MFA) team completed their successful participation in the Manchester City Cup and GCC Cup for academies tournament which held in Abu Dhabi recently.
The Muscat Football Academy clinched the under-12 league title of the Manchester City Cup while the under-14 team missed the spoils narrowly to Romania’s Professional Clause Club.
Later, MFA team participated in the GCC Cup Academies tournament. Three MFA teams, U-11, U-13 and U-15 teams, were crowned champions in their respective competitions. MFA teams have recorded stellar performances in the finals.
Many junior teams represented the academy across a spectrum of age categories and competed against some of the world’s leading youth football teams and academies.
“It is the first time in history that one academy has won this number of age categories tournament.
“Competition was very high as many academies from different parts of the world took part on it like Australia, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain,” Chuck Martini, Head Coach of Muscat Football Academy, said.
“I am very proud of my players and thanks to all coaching staff who supported in this great historic win. I would like to share thanks to all parents who support the academy and children,” Chuck Martini concluded.
