MSM index declines by 8 points

MUSCAT: Muscat Securities Market (MSM) general index 30 on Sunday lost 8.3 points comprising a decline of 0.16 per cent to close at 5,097.41 points compared to the last session which stood at 5,105.67 points. The trading value stood at RO 828,997 comprising a decline of 31 per cent compared to the last session, which stood at RO 1,200,861. The market value fell by 0.100 per cent to reach about RO 17.86 billion. The report added that the value of shares bought by non-Omani investors reached RO 47,000 comprising 5.66 per cent. The value of shares sold by non-Omani investors reached RO 248,000 comprising 29.93 per cent. The net non-Omani investment declined by 24.27 per cent to RO 201,000. — ONA
