Muscat: A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Unit was officially opened at Khoula Hospital on Tuesday by Dr Mohammed bin Saif al Hosni, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs in the presence of Abdul Amir bin Abdul Husain al Ajmi, Director of External Affairs and Value Creation in the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). The project was funded by the PDO Company. The unit employs the most sophisticated technology in medical imaging. Dr Ali bin Muhad al Maashani, Director-General of Khoula Hospital affirmed the shared purpose of cooperation and partnership between the government and private sectors to promote all aspects of services in the Sultanate. Al Ajmi said the contribution of the PDO is part of the company’s social investment programme. — ONA
