The Ministry of Tourism, in cooperation with the Muscat Municipality, launched a hiking event on Friday as part of the National Day celebrations. The hiking session started from Muttrah and was attended by 70 mountain climbing enthusiasts from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. It was aimed at introducing the mountain tracks that characterise the topography of Muscat to the visitors. The Ministry of Tourism had stressed on the importance of setting up regular and sustainable tourism activities and programmes that will enhance the attractiveness of local and foreign tourists. — ONA
