MoH signs agreement for new dialysis unit

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Sunday signed an agreement with Raysut Cement Company (RCC) at the Ministry’s Headquarters to build a new dialysis unit in Taqah Hospital.


Dr Darweesh bin Saif al Maharbi, MoH Under-Secretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs, signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry and Ahmed bin Yousuf bin Alawi al Ibrahim, RCC Chairman signed on behalf of the Company.


The agreement stipulated on funding the establishment of a new dialysis unit in Taqah Hospital at total cost of RO 300,000 as part of the Company’s strategic vision in partnership with different government authorities in various fields.


Dr Darweesh stressed in his statement on the importance of the partnership between the government and private sectors in serving the public interest. He also praised the initiative provided by the Company, as well as thanked the Company for its continued contributions in the field of health services.


The RCC Chairman said that enlightened by the Sultan’s keenness and guidance for the private sectors in contributing effectively in the community responsibility programmes, the Company has a vision and a strategy in this regard.


He added that the Company has funded before to establish a dialysis unit in the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, as well as medical equipment amounted to RO 225,000.


In addition, Shaikh Ahmed also pointed out that the Company has made every effort to implement the community responsibility programmes whether in services or developments fields.
