Muscat, Dec 17 - The Ministry of Manpower has clarified that agencies engaged in the task of hiring Omanis in the private sector are being supervised by specialists in the ministry. It was responding to a debate on social media against the use of agencies for hiring 25,000 Omanis. Two companies in the private sector — Target and Mujeed — had been shortlisted by a technical committee appointed by the ministry for compiling and expediting the hiring process. The agencies were slammed in the social media saying they were not capable of handling such a huge responsibility. “The recruitment process in the private sector is on and all the ministry’s departments are involved in the task,” it said.
